ZX10R Masters Cup brigade to Zwartkops the Arena of
South African Motorsport with a full grid of
superbikes ready to set the circuit alight.
As
the season winds down with one race to follow after
Zwartkops many of the two wheeled gladiators are
looking to finish their campaigns on a high and
collect as many points as possible.
Gavin Lightfoot (Execuline Kawasaki) will be the man
to look out for as the series leader with champion
Gavin Ramsay (Mailwise Racing) looking to challenge
him for the day’s honours. This clash is expected to
be the highlight of the day with Ramsay getting on
the pace quickly with the new machine after
returning from the National series halfway through
the season. Other riders to look out for and
challenging for podium positions will be the vastly
improved Pieter De Vos (Essential Hardware
Kawasaki), East Londoner Jayson Lamb (Hi Q
Kawasaki), new comer from Cape Town Carl Liebenberg
(Calberg Lubricants) who has been a revelation since
joining the series and Royden Bennett who will be
looking keep the bike upright after a huge crash
here the last time out.
The sought after top ten positions will see much
action with many pilots including old favourite Stew
“Dog Doctor” Christie (Mailwise Racing), Hannes De
Vos, the returning Delvin Pearce, Richard “Rick the
Racer” Carmody, Sergio Da Silva (Emtek Racing)
amongst those challenging for these positions.
The Class B battle of the Veterans with the red race
numbers will also be fiercely contested with Gavin
Ramsay likely to take honours here while challenging
for overall honours. Class leader Franceua Nell will
be looking to consolidate his lead and collect as
many points for the day as possible. The Parsons
Brothers, Gilbert and Andy on the Emtek machines
will be sure to challenge for podiums as will East
Londoner Piere Le Roux (Buffalo Motorcycles), Sarel
Marais (Bike Addict Racing) and Trevor Elske (Mailwise
Racing) who will be looking to get his season back
on track after a crash at Phakisa and two DNS’s at
East London.
Pick your favourite viewing spot at the best viewing
circuit in the country and get set for a day of red
hot two wheeled action full of thrills and probably
a few spills thrown in for good measure. Remember
too that spectators are more than welcome to visit
the pits to view the machinery and have a chat with
the riders. |
