Goldwagen Challenge

   
  The one make Goldwagen Challenge Series for VW manufactured vehicles has evolved into the premier Regional tin top formula in the country, with four distinct classes and up to fifty cars competing at any given time, the racing is extremely competitive and a delight to watch.
   
 

The field is divided up into the following classes:

 

Class A is for the meanest and fastest cars in the series. These racing machines not only sound the business but put on a great show. The cars run the VW 8v 2.0L 2E

1984cc modified engine with hydraulic heads. Minimum weight: 1050 Kg.

   
 

Class B often finds a mix of youth and experience going head to head with close racing a guaranteed spectacle. The cars run the VW 8v 1830cc engine with limited modifications and hydraulic heads. Minimum weight: 1000 Kg.

  Class C is the breeding ground for many an aspiring racing driver and continues to grow in numbers with the 2009 season expecting a record number of entries. The cars run the VW 8v 1640cc standard engine with hydraulic heads. Minimum weight: 920 Kg.
   
  Class P for former Polo Cup sedan cars has become extremely competitive with the addition of the hatchback models in 2008. The cars run the VW 8v 1984cc Polo Cup engine. Minimum weight: 1025kg.
